Dear Linda "The G" Mills,
Thank you.
Brilliance comes in many different forms, or so we thought, until we discovered the apex. Linda. How do we even begin? It would be easier to list everything she hasn't done for us. Us, as in the student body: a collective.
Jane Doe, NYU Liberal Studies student, says: "Linda." Another student, Gallatin senior Kyle Kyleson, noted: "She's [the opposite of] satan, who [didn't] want the stair refurbishment? It is [not] censorship." And we couldn't have said it better ourselves. There is so much to be thankful for, the Kimmel stairs being redone solely from the kindness of her heart, the Stern Plaza being refurbished because Linda woke up one day and thought, fuck it, let me just be the best. What a doll.
The student body also acknowledges her female presidency as monumental. A woman in the highest seat, the kind of feminism that works best when it doesn't ask too many questions about who it's actually working for.
And let us not forget her groundbreaking literary contribution to the world, Insult to Injury, a book so bold, so visionary, that it dared to suggest domestic violence survivors simply needed a good ol’ sit-down chat with their abusers. The academic community was GAGGED! Who better to revolutionize the field of domestic violence advocacy than someone willing to swim upstream against every survivor advocate alive? A titan. A poet. A woman with a pen. The G.
Best,
The entire NYU student body. Everyone.
